Beachcombing and Hiking in Point Roberts


Beautiful walk on Maple Beach this afternoon. Lots of fish, crabs, clams, heron and seagulls on the shoreline. We saw a beatiful family of eagles today too!		  
This is just a 10 minute walk from Point Roberts Cottage! This part of the beach towards Lilly Point is quiet. The main part of Maple Beach is full of swimmers and a a few small boats.
 
Hiking around Lilly Point this afternoon. There was an eagle sitting in its nest in the tree in this photo - our cell phone camera didn't pick it up though.		  
Amazing view of San Juan islands. You can also get a stunning view of Mount Baker and Vancouver Island. Lots of walking and cycling trails up here.
